1) The Great Filipino-American Aswang Pageant will perform from October 9-18: Navigate a world filled with fantastical creatures and heartwarming camaraderie while uncovering the true meaning of identity and self-discovery in The Great Filipino-American Aswang Pageant. This groundbreaking production defies expectations as it weaves together mythology, camp, and high-stakes pageantry with music and scandal!
This unique production is a collaboration between playwright Kat Stevens, creative lead Philip Odango, ROŪGE: Theatre Reinvented, and Â鶹¹ú²úAVRep.
2) String, written by Sarah Hammond, Music & Lyrics by Adam Gwon, will perform from Nov. 6-16:Â After angering Zeus, the Fates are banished to a modern office building in the mortal world to continue their mundane work of spinning, measuring and snipping the strings of life for every human on Earth, while hidden among the very mortals whose destinies they weave into one giant, glorious tapestry.Â
Atropos, the inflexible, workaholic goddess destined to cut the threads of life at the appointed time, gets tangled up with a security guard in the basement of their building. One mistake leads to another - a lost pair of scissors, a kiss, a stolen string - and soon she is breaking her own rules to offer Forever to an ordinary man.
